ARRIVAL – MEXICO CITY
At your arrival a Mexican Refreshments will be waiting for you at the hotel (Guacamole, chips, Mexican cheese, one local beer and season fruit).
Night at Mexico City.
MEXICO – CITY TOUR – MEXICO
Departure for visit Anthropology Museum, where we will have a preview of the prehispanic gastronomy and agriculture.
Transfer to Xochimilco and take a trip through its channels on board of a Trajinera, with a traditional Lunch on board the trajinera.
Afternoon stop in the traditional market of Coyoacan with a taste of traditional mexican candies,
Night in Mexico city.
MEXICO – TEOTIHUACAN – PUEBLA
Continue to Teotihuacan and visit the site, a worms tasting is included in Rainy season.
Pulque tasting obtained from the leaves of the maguey included too.
Departure and night at Puebla.
PUEBLA – VERACRUZ (274 kms / 3h30)
Nestled in the middle of two imposing volcanoes, it was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. In Puebla we will learn to prepare Mole. With 22 ingredients, the mole is the splendor of Mexican cuisine, it is a dish that shows the mixture of indigenous and Spanish ingredients. There are many recipes; we could even say that every family has its own. From July to September we can prepare the famous chile en nogada decorated with the colors of the Mexican flag. Visit Main square, Zocalo cathedral and Rosario Chapel.
Continue to Veracruz and visit the city center where Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from in the Zocalo you can enjoy Danzon Nights: A Jarocho tradition that brings together dancers of all ages with cadence tropical port, traditional music and marimbas soneros. Dinner in a very traditional Restaurant with tasting of a “gordita” a fired corn tortilla with nothing but sauce onion and fresh cheese, simply delicious
Overnight
VERACRUZ – TLACOTALPAN– OAXACA
Continue to Visit Tlacotalpan, among the delicacies, you can taste oranges stuffed with coconut or a delicious freshly baked bread with coffee.
Stop in Calpulalpam de Mendez for lunch and visit a traditional medicine hospital. Lunch in Calpulalpam in the local Market.
Continue to Oaxaca, on the road take a stop to try a quesadilla, and if you are lucky (rainy season) you will eat fresh grilled mushrooms.
At Oaxaca you will be grilled grasshoppers with Guacamole (avocado sauce) and a Mezcal tasting made with wild agaves.
Night at Oaxaca.
OAXACA
Departure to visit Monte Alban archaeological site, lunch in a traditional restaurant built in open air, where you can taste black mole, and Tlayudas known as the Mexican pizza, huge crispy tortillas with cheese, beans and meat cooked in a grill.
Departure to San Martin Tilcajete where we can see how the artisans made alebrijes.
Return to Oaxaca city to visit the church of Santo Domingo.
Night in Oaxaca.
OAXACA
Departure to one of the most fantastic and colorful markets in Mexico, Tlacolula market (on Sundays) Teotitlan del Valle.
Have lunch in Santa Maria del Tule in a very particular place: Original from the chinanteco etnia, the Velasco Family have made for ages Caldo de piedra or stone soup.
Return and night in Oaxaca
OAXACA – OUT
Departure to the airport to take a connecting flight to Mexico City and then, flight home.
